Not many people know, but Salt Lake City has a thriving and ever-expanding urban farming community. The West Side of the city is scattered with small-scale organic farms that feed 100s of families. Over time we’ve built personal relationships with these farms.  We’ve been fortunate to work with people that are growing incredible vegetables just down the block.

This summer we want to highlight these folks by having monthly farmer’s markets, Central 9th style. We’ll be set up on Jefferson St. selling farm fresh vegetables, flowers, honey, and more. Inside the market we’ll be cooking seasonal fare, and slangin’ local baked goods from our friend Lady Flour as well.

We’ll have vegetables from Top Crops, Punk Rock Farmer Al, Silo & Seed, Urban Pepper Project, Creighton Heart, and Cubanita Farms, all who regularly stock our shelves with their produce. Alongside them we’ll have Kent from Pyne Farms making cider slushies, Blind Goose with local honey, and Wasatch Blooms dropping beautiful floral arrangements fresh from their farm in Cache Valley - mic drop!

The market will be from 5-8pm right outside our door on Jefferson Street & 900 S. Pull up, fuck around, and find out… about local food grown right in your neighborhood.
